The Host started in 2018 with one idea: cook the food we grew up eating, and cook it properly.
Our kitchen sits on Al Wasl Road in Jumeirah. Everything that leaves it is made to order — the dough is proved overnight, the lamb is minced in-house each morning, and nothing sits under a heat lamp waiting for a delivery driver.
We source what we can locally. Our vegetables come from farms in Al Ain, our dairy from a co-operative in Ras Al Khaimah, and our spices are ground weekly rather than bought pre-blended. It costs more and takes longer, and we think you can taste the difference.
Delivery is something we do ourselves rather than hand off. Our drivers are on our payroll, they know the menu, and they know which dishes need to move quickly and which can take the scenic route. If something arrives wrong, tell us — we will fix it on the same order, not the next one.
